CLUTCH

 

Loosely assembled parts of the main clutch mechanism showing the very high standard of workmanship that was achieved.

 

This shows the spur gear riveted to the main body of the clutch.


Driving end before the pawl and main ratchet had been put in place.


This shows the main ratchet in place. The large cylindrical item on the end of the shaft is a sleeve to protect the end of the shaft whilst the large pins are being riveted on a power press.
